Ctrl+S: Saves the game manually (it also auto-saves every 60 seconds)

A very early prototype of an incremental/clicker game where you... close browser tabs.

Note that this is an early build of the game, and major changes might be made at any point to the gameplay!
Feedback and gameplay ideas are welcome!

No matter what I do, when I press the "Open new Browser" button, it goes to a blank grey screen. Other than that, love the game!

simply addictive LOL

socorro, não consigo parar de jogar...

Okay once i realized i could hover over the tabs to see the full name of them my enjoyment of this game increased tenfold. this is so realistic, i've literally been to the "list of lists" page on wikipedia before lol

Feedback!:

I feel like maybe the auto closing ads app could use a bit of clarification in it's description, telling you that it grants you 200 cookies rather than 'for 200 cookies', because at first I thought it was using 200 cookies to close the ad, which seemed silly/confusing when you could just get the ad blocker XD (Also, maybe there could be a cache clearing powerup that increases how many cookies you get from that later on?)
Also, the Tab Group Chance Upgrade still shows up even after you get to 100%.

Definitely really like the ability to pause the automations, it seems like the closer/opener options become a little unbalanced later on so being able to do that is really helpful if you need to free up some RAM
(seems like the opener being more powerful than the closer might be due to rebalanced prices mentioned in previous comments? which is interesting since they look like they should be balanced evenly numbers wise, does the tab closer not close out the entire tab group at once maybe? Though now that I'm at endgame they seem to be in perfect sync again. I didn't mind having to balance things manually for a bit though, personally.)

It also felt more like it was just worth sitting at the 'end' of a run, where the cache just piles up enough to get the rest of the upgrades, rather than resetting the cache and rebuilding it.
Oh huh as I'm typing this I'm finding a new option popped up... I'm guessing that's just because I'm going overboard and not something that's supposed to be balanced with the rest? XD

:D Anyway, I definitely look forward to seeing where you might go with this! I love the concept, I should really look into closing some tabs irl sometime.

I finished the game. How do I rest the entire game progress?

I've updated the game to have a Reset Save button in the achievements screen, that should erase all data and reset the game back.

what exactly were you thinking making the tab opener so much more expensive than the tab closer...?

The game is fine so far, but it needs some changes:

- The tab closer is too cheap and way more powerful than the tap opener, which is too slow to be fair.
- The automations, because of the previous reason, is just a headache
- I would add some balance to the game, like, the price for the tab opener/closer should be more equaly and not that cheap, like, the opener starts at 10 and the closer from 25, instead of being the closer the cheapest one

I can increase the group tap chance above 100%, why ? Also tab openers are useless to be fair.

Is open new browser supposed to do something?
All that happens whenever I tried it is the game plays an effect then the game crashes. Not sure if intentional

Yeah in the current development version that serves as an end-screen, in the future it will open a new incremental game layer altogether.

Really fun game!!! Style is very different from other incremental/idle/clicker games. The cache clear system is very interesting, it felt as if once 1 cache clear had been achieved, the amount of tabs (or cookies, idk what it tracks) required for subsequent cache clears seemed to be much much less than for the first one. (This may be just because production speeds up exponentially, idk.)
Overall, very cool idea, very excited to come back to it once it has been fleshed out a bit more!!!

THIS WAS SO FUN TO PLAY!!! kept coming back to it only to realize it came out 2 days ago! great going! <3

I really like the Game. Please continue developing it. If you need Assistance on a german translation, feel free to dm me @Davy_Jones444 on Discord.

Question:
Is the Tab Opener affected by the Open Tab button efficiency upgrades?

(+1)

No, the tab opener automation is only affected by 'Tab Opener is twice as efficient' upgrades

(+1)

Also I would love to see a fraction or % for Progress to Cache Clear to help visualize it (gotta love when number go up)

cookie clicker :)
very satisfying, played until my wrist hurt and then tried to stop playing (semi-successfully)

(+4)

The game didn't save when I refreshed the page.

(+1)(-1)

Sorry about that, the game auto-saves every 60 seconds, or can be manually saved by pressing Ctrl+S at any point.

(+1)

I don't think the autosave works.

Aha! I think the autosave works if you've already manually saved at least once.

(+2)

Yes indeed the auto-saved was borked, but has been fixed on the latest version

Very fun time waster - thanks! Two points of feedback that I had:

1 - Anchor the "Open # tabs" button to a static location - currently it changes positions at least three times (when upgrades or cache becomes available) and each time it throws me off.

2 - I really like the RAM usage bar visualization on the App Manager page and basically leave that up the whole time while clicking behind the window - would be awesome if that bar visualization could be added to the main page (either replacing the number visualizers in the top right or just in addition to them)

Either way I had a great time, so thanks again!

Thank you for the feedback and for taking your time with my little game! The two feedbacks are very valid and I'll be addressing them in an upcoming update.
